It is also energy efficient by helping keep the room cooler in summer and warmer in winter. It will also help prevent your drapes, carpeting, etc., from fading. Rug Hangers are essentially two long pieces of wood approximately two inches wide. There are 2-3 wooden knobs that screw these two pieces together. One edge of the rug is placed between the pieces of wood up to but not covering the knob hole. There is nothing that penetrates the fibers of the rug. It holds by gentle, even pressure of the top board against the back board. They are made of hard wood and come sanded and ready to be painted or stained.
