Tops are unfinished quilts. They consist of the top part of the quilt. They
have never been backed, filled, or quilted. People today buy them to either
finish, use as a tablecloth, a throw, or various other uses. They cost less
than completed quilts.

Geese" Quilt Top, circa 1880. Hand and machine pieced. Nice dark
indigo blue color. A few minor stains. Has a 2" wide blue border. Some
slight pulling. 67"x76". $ 165.
