Blue and white "Burgoyne Surrounded", circa 1930. Diamond and geometric quilting at a beautiful 10 stitches to the inch. Wonderful corner blocks. On October 17, 1777 British General Burgoyne was defeated by American troops near Saratoga, N.Y. Many historians believe this was the turning point in our battle for independence.
